Do you Need a Partner in your Parent's Healthcare?

Whether you’re in your 20s, 50s, or 70s, you may have a parent (or two!) in need of assistance to maintain their health and independence as they age.  Many patients are living longer now and the trend has returned to keeping those folks at home as long as possible.  We are here to help.

Direct Primary Care practices, like Direct Doctors, do home visits to keep patients healthier longer while at home.  We also offer home visits to assisted living facilities, dementia/memory care units, and even some nursing homes.  

As parents age, they tend to have a harder time with mobility.  Leaving the house, especially in the winter months may become dangerous.  Getting to the doctor’s office, waiting in the waiting room chairs, sitting on the high exam table, and the return home may be enough to wipe your loved one out for days!  We understand.

​At Direct Doctors, we bring healthcare to you.  Patients pay a monthly fee to access home visits when needed.  We see patients in their home for acute visits (think UTI, skin infection, cough), chronic care management (like diabetes, heart failure, memory loss), and everything in between.  We are able to offer a high level of care at home and a high level of access & communication with you while at our office.

As your parent’s primary advocate, you can access his/her doctor whenever you need us.  Call or text us on our cell and you will reach the doctor directly.  Email us something less urgent, and you can hear back that day. We communicate directly with nurses and staff at assisted and independent living facilities so that orders are clear and mistakes aren’t made.  We also help patients transition to hospice if/when necessary and continue to be the primary doctor during their care.
